How to Find Clients

  I have been asked to write about this again and again, so I thought that today I will write it again in a more simple way.

We have two major problems that I have noticed that one is that we do not learn the proper skills well and go out to find clients and the other is that if we learn the skills, we do not get clients. So let's talk about both.

First of all I would say that God should make himself an expert in any skill. Don't torture yourself by going out to work in the market with half-finished skills, believe me, you will never succeed in this way. You may be in a hurry to make money, but this method will put you out of the money race. Even if you get clients, you won't be able to work with them, then they won't continue working with you and you'll be in trouble, so whatever skill you learn, spend six months to a year on it. Learn and practice and then go out to work in the market.

Second, you have learned the skill, now how to find clients, so work on yourself first. Ensure your presence on social media platforms. Personal branding is the biggest form of client hunting. When you know the brand, then everything else falls behind. You only get work in your name. Second, create a Facebook page related to your skill, keep making proper posts there, join Facebook groups (overseas Pakistani groups, skill related groups, English groups), post about your skill there. People have posted for jobs, comment with your portfolio. If you don't have a portfolio, try to guide them according to the post. So even more than that, I hope that at some point people will contact you for work.

Third, do off-field work. Visit your village, city and see who are there who are doing business that may need your skills. Clothing stores, shoe stores, mobile accessories stores, manufacturing stores, restaurants, medical stores, tuition centers, all of them need graphics designing, marketers, and website developers. Get in touch with everyone and guide them. Take their numbers and save them in your mobile. Send them occasional posts, pictures related to your skill and keep them informed about the benefits. This method will also help you a lot in finding clients.

And the last thing which is most important is that your communication skill should be better. It plays a big role in getting clients. Talk in a nice and professional manner. Listen to the client and guide them, if you can impress them with your communication then no one can stop you from working with them.
